Diploma in Nursing
The goal of nursing programs has always been to contribute to the overall aim of health care of individuals and the entire society. Initially, nursing had concentrated on the care and comfort of the ill and injured, but as a result of advances in medical sciences, the emphasis has shifted to preventive medicine. Nursing today should focus on the nature of the recipient of nursing care. The core of nursing knowledge should be man’s total response to health and illness. It is important that the nurse views the recipient of nursing care as a total person who functions as a unified being.
